This is a replacement coffee maker for me. I have had the previous model, the Coffee Team Luxe for many, many years and it finally gave up. It was a wonderful coffee maker and grinder combination so I was hopeful that this new model would be as good. I was right, it is as good as the previous. The old model needed more room as it was bigger and had a swing arm to grind the coffee and then swing into place to brew. This new model is smaller in width and internally switches something from grind to brew so it takes less space on the counter. The coffee tastes as good as before. It does take some adjusting to get it to the brew you like. But there are many combinations of darkness and amount of grinding to get it to the way you like. The downside is the charcoal filter is different along with the gold filter and carafe so none of the old model extras work with this new one. But that is a minor thing.
