I agree that this price is ridiculous. I got it at Babies R Us, was much cheaper. It is very attractive car seat, but my daughter screams her head off 3 out of 4 car trips. I tried out a friends car seat to make sure it wasn't my car seat and it wasn't, she just hates the car. It's a bit on the heavy side, but I haven't really found a bucket seat that wasn't. The base is a bit hard to install. I picked up another base that originally went to a Snugride 32 and it is much easier to install (I don't have latch in my car).
