I bought this to replace a slightly over one year old, and yes just past warranty, coffee maker. This Melitta coffee maker has two exceptional features for me. #1, the way the carafe pours is unequalled by any other carafe I have owned, and I have owned over half a dozen different ones. #2, the ability to set the coffee's brew. The Regular, Bold and Robust settings are great for me. I can set it to the coffee's best mode, my mood or for guests preferences. I wish it were 12 cups, but it is what they advertised. I also would prefer a bit more insulation on the carafe, but that is only on the second pot, the first one never lasts long enough to worry. I find the rest very functional and useful. Styling is not award winning, but few are IMO. It holds up very well to other coffee makers in this dept. Brew time is at lower end of normal in my experience and also dependent on the brew setting. I would recommend this maker to any coffee lover.
