  Kyocera's premium cutlery line features stunning Damascus-look blades. Close in hardness to diamond, these advanced ceramic knifes feature Kyotop (Hot- Isostatic pressed) "HIP" blades. These blades are fired a second time under high pressure and temperature in a sealed chamber. This process increases the density of the advanced ceramic material, resulting in greater wear resistance. The moisture-resistant, 3 riveted handles are made out of Pakka wood. The 6-inch blade, great for all prep jobs, chopping, and slicing.

I love to cook!  I spend more time in my kitchen than any other room in my house.  I've been a short order cook and a prep cook for a CIA chef.  I love knives and have several as such!  This was the first ceramic knife I purchased and while it worked extremely well and held its edge, I broke it two days ago. This knife only lasted six months.  The blade snapped in half under low pressure.  I treated this $200 knife like no other, probably better than my last girlfriend.  I'm in the process of returning it to Kyocera at present and if the return goes well, I highly, highly, will recommend this knife.  If not, buyer beware.
